2008 Playboy Celebrity Poker Tournament and Casino Night |

Prefer half-naked women with your texas hold em? The time for CardPlayer Magazine’s annual Celebrity Poker Tournament and Casino Night at the Playboy Mansion is upon us. Once again they’ll be opening the gates for all sorts of celebrities and poker icons, as well as anyone else who’s interested in paying the entry, on May 17th.
Unlike other poker tournaments, you’re paying pretty much in this one to for the chance to hang out. It’s a charity event so the majority of the proceeds from buy-ins will be going to the Urban Health Institute (UHI) Charity.
There will be over $50,000 in prizes awarded, however, including a seat in the main event of WSOP 2008, a trip to Bermuda and some other random goodies.
So far celebrities on the list as attending are Doyle and Todd Brunson and Roy Winstone. Oddly, that’s all they got down publicly, though I’m sure as things tend to run, people will end up at the Playboy Mansion in the end. Of course, you don’t really care about what famous dudes are going to be there anyway, in light of the usual gamut of women who are guaranteed to be there. At least I hope not.
Phil Ivey’s cool and all, but, well…
Currently registration is underway for the event through the end of March. You can visit the UHI website for more information on how to get involved in poker for a good cause.
