Full Tilt Poker keeps a pretty good steam of play articles by pros each week that address issues of playing well. This week Roland De Wolfe has a short article about how to get paid more when you make the nuts, which is a topic I've been thinking more and more about lately.
Having read Roland de Wolfe's article it become apparent that although Wolfe doesn't go too deep into the issue, he does address the key elements of the issue, including knowing your player, setting up the image of giving action even when you aren't, and reading the board not only for what you have, but for what a player might have and then what he'd be willing to pay. It seems like pretty obvious advice, but it's still good to be reminded to think about the best way to get paid when faced with trying to keep someone on for the ride.
Full Tilt has been doing a good job recently with their players articles. It's nice to see players who you wouldn't have heard much from writing perspective pieces. Other recent articles include advice by Gus Hansen, Chris Ferguson, Jennifer Harman, and so on.
