Spanish Poker Tour Announced |
 As poker continues to swarm the globe, we keep seeing more and more introductions to new international tournament series, often sponsored by a major or emerging online company to support a new country’s growth into the world of cards. The newest of these is the Spanish Poker Tour which will begin at the Casino de Aranjuez in Madrid, Spain on April 18th 2008.
The series will include three full days of poker tournaments and a total prize pool of more than 2 million euros.
Two of the biggest names in tournament poker in Europe will be directing the event event: namely Thomas Kremser and Gerard Serra.
The first event will have a 200 player cap. Each series will have three different events with different buy ins.
• Main Event €1.000 + €100
o Friday 20:30 day 1
o Saturday 16:00 day 2
o Sunday 16:00 Final Table
• Second Event €400 + €40
Everest Poker
o Saturday 18:00 day 1
o Sunday 16:30 Final Table
• Third Event €150 + €15 + €25
o Sunday 17:00
o Every player will have a bounty of €25
Players will be able to qualify for seats and/or sponsorships in the Spanish Poker Tour online and calls are open to all onilne poker sites.
The ‘main event’ of the Spanish Poker Tour will have a $2500 euro buy in and will match up with a whole other week of tournaments.
